Dada

Lily doesn’t say any words yet, but in her babbling she’s getting closer every day. I think I know what her first intentional word is going to be. Every time she hears Daddy coming, she perks up and chants “Da-da-da-da-da-da”. So cute!

Playtime with Daddy

Our computer was down for some time and I've only just now caught up with the backlog of photos waiting to be downloaded and edited.

Here's a wonderful group of shots of the girl and her daddy:

It's getting harder and harder to sneak shots of Lily. She's got a sixth sense for the camera and as soon as she sees it she likes to pose.

In a rare candid shot, the girl studies one of her favorite books.

With very little in the way of real hair, Lily gets a "faux-hawk" courtesy of Mom.

Making faces for the camera.

To My Daddy

You were the first person to hold me...

...and even though I was so small, you held me tight and didn't let go.

You hold my hand...

...so that I will always know my Daddy's there.

Every day you show me how beautiful the world can be.

You whisper in my ear and tell me I'm your Boogie.

You teach me not to be afraid to fly high.

I love you so much, Daddy.

And I know Mommy says we should let you sleep late because it's Father's Day, but I sure can't wait until you wake up so we can play!

Daddy's Little Girl

Several captions I considered for this photo:

1. Lily has finally taken to using a pacifier, much to our delight as it does wonders to help calm and soothe her.

2. Lily has become a huge fan of co-sleeping. As a result, so are we. Hey, we'll take whatever sleep we can get!

3. Lily absolutely adores her daddy!
