Happy Spring!
Spring could not have come with more glorious weather than this weekend's brilliant blue skies, bright sunshine, and temperatures in the 70s. We spent much of the weekend either outside in the garden soaking up the sun or taking long walks around town.


The daffodils in our garden opened up for the first time today, as if on cue for the first day of spring. The eager crocuses and bloodroot have already been putting on a lovely show for at least a week now.


As soon as the weather turned warm, Lily's fancy turned toward thoughts of ice cream, and so both afternoons this weekend (at Lily's insistence) we strolled downtown to Carmen and David's where Lily, her face absolutely beaming, joyfully demolished an entire cone of lemon sorbet.


And to think, a few weeks ago we had this:
