Even Lily Was Not Amused
This is what we woke up to this morning. This is what 2 feet of snow looks like from the inside.

Two feet of snow is 2/3 the height of Lily--plenty deep enough that she couldn't play without being swallowed up by the snow.

The view across the street through our hawthorne tree was lovely, but not a scene I care to repeat any time soon and certainly not worth all the back breaking shoveling. Spring can't come soon enough!

Wow- it looks like my neighborhood! I imagine though yours will melt sooner.
Hiya Amy,
Looks like you guys got quite a bit of snow as well! The official count at the New Castle County Airport by us said 25.6 inches fell here.
I definitely think snow pants help. We had them for this snow storm (they're too big size 6-8 and held them up with a belt) but they tuck in and over boots, they keep them dry and warm. We stayed out in the snow a lot more this time because she wasn't getting cold and wet legs like last time.
For 2 yrs I bought and had snow pants for her and never used them - I gave them away as she out grew them. This year, when I didn't have a pair until recently is the year we got all of this snow - heh
Did Lily like making snow angels? snow balls? snow men?
That tree doesn't look real!! So pretty! We haven't taken Michael out yet, maybe tomorrow. It's piled higher than him on our deck! So funny!
