OCNJ 2010

Determined to slip in a small vacation in the midst of so much bread-baking, we managed a fabulous 3-day getaway to Ocean City, NJ. It rained--well poured, really--the day we left, but by the time we got to the bridge just before Ocean City, the clouds parted, the sun shone bright, and a gorgeous rainbow welcomed us. A perfect start to a perfect little vacation. Lily could not have been more excited to be at the shore. She was positively giddy the entire time we were there. She loved the water and was completely fearless in the face of a rough surf. She loved getting covered head-to-toe in sand as she dug and built and played on the beach. The girl discovered the delights of ice cream on the boardwalk and delighted in the kiddie rides at Wonderland. We packed a lot into 3 days and we vowed before we left that next year we deserved an entire week at the beach.
