Things to Come

So Boogles' newfound joy is mobility. She can scooch and drag herself across a room, and even out an open door. Which means two things:

1. Our floors are a lot shinier.

2. We have to start closing doors. And moving breakables up off low shelves. And the "like a very slow flood" effect of a child on a household begins.

Today she covered two and a half rooms in one delighted burst of squealing effort. Probably would have gone further, but by that time she had reached the cat's food bowl and I had to intervene.

Yesterday, we were upstairs. Amy's probably written somewhere here about the cheap vinyl wallet that is one of Lily's favorite toys. We stuck some things in it to make it more challenging, including an old credit card of Amy's. Lily figured out how to slide it out of its pocket slot, and yesterday she went on a determined ramble toward the front door, credit card clutched in one hand.
