Our Little Foodie
Lily loves to help me cook dinner every afternoon. It's a wonderful time of mother-daughter bonding, that hour-and-a-half or so we spend together in the kitchen each day. Lily is quite an accomplished cook for a 2-year-old. She's great at stirring sauces, she's confident cracking eggs, she's adept at husking corn, and she really knows her spices. But her favorite thing to do in the kitchen is "make new bread," in her words. And here she is, having a ball having her way with some soft, fresh sourdough earlier today. For the record, it baked up into the most delicious rustic loaf infused with black olives (Lily's favorite) and rosemary fresh from the garden. We devoured it, still warm, with our dinner.

And here's our girl proudly showing off some the broccoli (another favorite) we grew in our garden this summer.

An adorable little Foodie! Way ahead of the cooking curve (well at least compared to us, ok, even me!) =)
We should get the girls together for some fun cooking
Hugs

I dunno, those meatballs look really good! Care to share the recipe? (I've never been good at meatballs...)
Yes, let's plan a playdate!
