Snow!
We had the oddest snow storm blow through last night. Portions of the county only got a dusting while others got buried under a foot of the white stuff. Somewhere in between, we got a manageable couple of inches. Just enough to take the girl on her first sledding adventure!

Normally Lily loves to trapse through the snow on her own, getting boots and clothes wet. This time, however, she was so enamored with the boxy orange sled that use to be Luke's that she happily plunked herself down into it and refused to get up for the next hour. Mama pulled her through town, and Lily refused to budge even for the sake of traversing those awkward patches of cleared sidewalk. No, we dragged and scraped along those, with Lily firmly and happily planted in her sled.
We eventually got to the park which has a few gentle hills, and Lily discovered the joys of barrelling recklessly down pristine slopes of snow. She did tumble over a few times, which she did not find amusing, but she rallied and asked each time to sled again.

On the way home, we found the back alleys to be more sled-friendly than the patchy sidewalks, and the sight of Lily in her sled brought smiles from many passersby.

Finally home, Lily still did not want to abandon her beloved new toy.

We had so much fun, it almost makes me wish it would snow some more. Almost.
