Mothers and Daughters

In honor of Mother's Day this year, we gathered together 4 generations of mothers and daughters for a portrait session with brother Luke who happens to be a very talented photographer. Lily is notoriosly difficult to photograph, especially for formal portraits, and despite the fact that it was her beloved 'Dit' behind the camera, she was still a very challenging subject. She would not sit still; nor would she smile on cue. With some luck, the promise of ice cream afterwards, and some behind-the-camera shennanigans from Luke, we did manage to get a few nice shots.

Mama, Weezie, Gigi, and Lily.

Lily looking tentative but resigned.

Mama and Lily with her beloved 'Ho' (that's Grover to you and me).

Lily with a smile just like her Daddy's.

Luke, to his credit, managed to capture Lily during the one split second when she wasn't trying to dislodge the 2 from its base...

Happy Mother's Day!!!

Oh, man. Really can see the old man's smile in that pic. Love it!

Simply beautiful photos--what treasures for posterity.

Hope you all are doing well, in every way. Warmest thoughts and wishes.
