A Hat of Her Own

For those of you who don't know it, Lily's Grandma is a very talented fiber artist who shows and sells her beautiful handmade goods throughout Pennsylvania and Delaware. Lily and Mom went to see Grandma when she was in town a few weeks ago for a craft show at the Landis Valley Museum. We had lots of fun looking at all of the sheep and goats, and we even took a hayride, which delighted Lily. What trumped all of these delights, however, was Grandma's irrisitable felt hats that she brought along to the museum for sale. Lily insisted on trying on and modeling at great length each and every one of the hats. She especially favored the blue ones, with red coming in a close second.

And so, just for Lily, Mom made her her very own toddler-sized felt hat. Blue, of course. It's not terribly practical, but the girl loves it!

A hat that a toddler loves to wear...oh, Amy, I think that will be much more practical than you realize as soon as winter hits your area! :)

What is great about being a kid is that they get to do things that are not practical! It's a GREAT hat! Just wait until she pairs goggles and Daddy's shoes with it.
