An Official Toddler

Look who's walking! Now mom can breath a small sigh of relief. At her last checkup the pediatrician said there was nothing to worry about so long as Lily was walking by 18 months. The girl did it, with two weeks to spare.

Now the cat's really in for it!

Wow- that's not walking, that is practically running! I can't imagine the look on the cat's face when Lily realizes that she can chase him FAST.

Way to go! And definitely close to a run.

My son was not an early walker, either (though he didn't keep us on tenterhooks as long as Lily did you); in fact, he didn't even want to stand on his own.

Then, one day he just stood up and took a stroll across the room. Within a couple more, he was not only running (in that toddler way, of course) but also starting to climb and dive off furniture. (Like you, we live in an old house with hardwood floors. I don't recall how much carpet you have in your home, but we have almost none.)

Talk about parental whipsaw. I went from worrying if he'd walk to teaching him the correct way to fall in less than a week flat.

Enjoy!

Oh I love the toddling! Now the real childproofing of the house begins! *grin*
