Eight Months
Am I allowed to say it again - that time is passing entirely too quickly?! Well, I'm going to say it: it is. I wish it would slow down. Just a little.
There are no major milestones to report on this month. No teeth. Still not much in the way of hair. Absent the big stuff, Lily continues to grow more complex and more interested and interesting by the day. An example is her favorite new toy that her daddy bought for her last week:

This book rocks Lily's little baby world profoundly! She studies the cleverly composed pages full of circles and dots and squares so intensely and so fervently, sometimes we think she's going to short-circuit. Her eyes get wide, her mouth opens to form a perfect little 'O', and her eyes dart feverishly back and forth from page to page while her body quivers with excitement and she lets out a roaring squeal. I'm not kidding. It's really that intense.
And here's what else little Miss Lily has been up to:

Eating peas. And liking them!

Making silly faces.

Standing like a big girl...

...and feeling quite pleased with herself.

And then there's this wonderful portrait of a wistful-looking little girl taken by brother Luke.
