Two Months

Lily is two months old today! She has grown so much over the past few weeks - not only physically (she now weighs just under 10 lbs. and is 22 inches long) - but developmentally as well. It's endlessly fascinating to us to watch as Lily wakes up a new baby each day. You can watch new awarenesses and new skills appear one by one as if she learned them in her dreams the night before. Toys are now fascinating objects to observe and excite much cooing and flailing of limbs. Lily is begining to realize that her hands are in fact connected to her body and we suspect it's a very short time before she discovers that they are hers to manipulate and control. The girl is strong, too. She can already stand with only minimal support and she has excellent control over her head and neck muscles. She loves to watch mom and dad make faces and she often attempts to mimic an expression or a tongue stuck way out. What a joy it is to watch this little girl blossom!

And here, in honor of her two-month birthday, are some new pictures of our little Lily:
