Hi Mom, Hi Dad, Hi World

For the record, and to brag just a little bit, Lily's very first word was spoken with the clear sweetness of a bell , belted out not once, but twice, shortly after entering the world. "Hi!" The 'h' clearly enunciated, the 'i' a cheerful stacatto. We all heard it - Mom, Dad, Grandma, Joy, nurses, midwife. And we all laughed with the kind of infectious joy that comes with those first heady and delicious moments of newborn life.
