Not Working
The Zantac. It's not working. That adorable photo of the baby sleeping? Her blissful slumber lasted long enough for me to hit 'publish post' and then she was awake again. It's been like this all week. She doesn't nap at home; she only sleeps during the day if we go out of the house and take a walk or a car ride. Nighttime is a little better. If we're lucky we get two-hour blocks of sleep before she is awakened by the reflux. She still screeams and fusses endlessly during her waking hours - her discomfort made all the worse if I should happen to eat a sliver of onion or an inadvertent drop of milk.
The other home remedies don't seem to be helping much either. We've propped one end of her matress to keep her upper body elevated while sleeping and I've made my diet about as bland as I can stand.
We have a doctor's appointment next week for her two-month check-up. There are more aggressive reflux drugs out there from what I've been reading. I'm going to beg for some!
